Best Leather Manufacturers EU is an editorial project covering the European leather manufacturing industry. We are not a marketplace, an affiliate site, or a trade association. We accept no paid placements and no manufacturer pays to appear in our ranking.

Our editorial team is based across Brussels, Milan and Paris. We combine on-site visits, interviews with tannery directors and structured documentary review to produce the most rigorous independent coverage of the European leather sector.

Our annual ranking is published each spring and reflects twelve months of fieldwork. The 2026 edition is our third.

Editorial principles

• Every ranked manufacturer is visited or interviewed in person.
• Scoring criteria are published in full and updated annually.
• Corrections are issued openly and dated.
