History
Founded in 1973 by Walter Bernardini in the historic tanning district of Ponte a Egola, Walpier still uses the slow-pit vegetable tannage codified by the Tuscan consortium in the 1990s.
Craftsmanship
Pit-tanned for 40+ days, hot-stuffed with natural waxes, hand-finished.
Sustainability
Vegetable tannins, recycled water, by-product hides from the Italian food chain.
