History

Established in 1842 in the Vosges valley, Haas built its reputation on slow vegetable tannage using local oak and chestnut bark. The maison was acquired by Hermès to secure long-term supply of premium calf.

Craftsmanship

Tannage cycles run for several weeks in traditional pits. Every hide is hand-graded and finished in small batches.

Sustainability

Plant-based tannins, closed-loop water treatment, traceable French and Northern European hides.
